Attendants of the Azerbaijani-French intergovernmental economic commission signed a docuemnt on cooperation in information and communication technologies and space communication in Baku yesterday, Trend reports.
The sides expressed a readiness to cooperation in the construction of low-orbit satellites. The document will become the basis for the strategic cooperation of the countries. France will take part in the launch of the second telecommunication satellite of Azerbaijan. The two states plan to sign an intergovernmental agreement on information exchange in the telecommunication industry.
The document also emphasizes a readiness for cooperation in nanotechnologies, TASIM project, technoparks, as well as the development of digital television.
The Azerbaijani Ministry for Communication and Information Technologies and the French Ministry for Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovations and the Digital Economy will sign a document on cooperation in the fields of innovations and information technologies.
