Turkish businessman abducted by unidentified men in Gaziantep

A Turkish businessman who owns a textile company was abducted by unidentified men on Wednesday in the eastern Turkish province of Gaziantep, Hürriyet Daily News cites the Doğan news agency as saying today.

 

Ahmet Şireci, whose firm is among Turkey’s 500 biggest companies, and an employee of his were returning to Gaziantep’s city center from the company’s plant in the city's outskirts when another car cut infront of theirs, intentionally smashing into their vehicle. Two men emerged from the car and kidnapped Şireci before pulling away.

 

An investigation was launched into the case after the incident was reported to police, who were called to the scene by the employee accompanying Şireci.
