Heavy snow has blocked the Georgian Military Road, Interfax reports.
The Zhinvali-Lars section of the Mtskhet-Stepantsminda-Lars Highway was blocked by snow and ice. Cars with trailers and semitrailers and buses with over 30 seats were restricted from taking the road. Other means of transportation are permitted only with anti-skid chains.
Restrictions were also imposed on the 17-km section of the Gudauri-Kobi Road. Only the road through anti-avalanche tunnels is open.
