Since the beginning of 2010, in Pyatigorsk have been recorded more than 1,064 traffic accidents. These figures have already exceeded the last year’s figures significantly, reports YuGa.ru referring to the TV broadcaster "Stavropolye".
The reason for increase in traffic accidents is that theer is a lack of road patrol inspectors in Pyatigorsk. The staff must number 220 people. However, there only 69 employees at present. During the conference of the City Commission for Public Security it was decided to revise the standard of the traffic police stuff quantity.
