Descendants of the Georgian royal family, David Bagrationi-Mukhraneli and Anna Bagrationi-Gruzinskaya have announced that they are going to get a divorce.
The couple was married in February 2009, in the Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral. David moved to Georgia from Spain a few years before that. The Georgian monarchists called it a historic event.
The idea of restoring the monarchy in Georgia was suggested a few years ago by Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
