Armenian church in Tbilisi to be rebuilt in partnership

The St. George Church is a medieval Armenian monument situated in Tbilisi. The church was built in 1356 and subsequently rebuilt in 1756. The church again needs restoration and it is going to be rebuilt by specialists from both Georgia and Armenia.

"Georgian and Armenian specialists together are going to take part in the reconstruction of the monument," said Petre Kankava, the Deputy Director of the Georgian Agency for preservation of cultural heritage.
