The operation “Vikhr-Anti-terror” (Whirlwind Anti-Terror), which is carried out after the attacks which took place in Volgograd, continues.
According to the State Department of the Ministry of Interior of the region, the police together with the dog experts checked more than 2,700 residential units, 112 parking lots for urban and intercity transport, 27 bus stations - a total of 4579 objects. After the checks at 105 critical objects their protection has been strengthened . "344 gun owners have been verified. The police seized 102 rifles, smooth-bore weapons and firearms", "Interfax" quotes the message of the agency.
Law enforcement officers in the course of the operation seized more than 11 kilograms of drugs and tested 185 workers. It turned out that two of them were in Russia illegally.
