At least 17 people were killed in clashes between supporters and opponents of the deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi and the police in Cairo yesterday.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health has confirmed the death of 11 people in the country, RIA Novosti reports referring to the Associated Press.
According to Al Arabia, more than 50 people were injured in Friday's clashes.
The day before, on Friday, thousands of supporters and opponents of Mursi took to the streets of Cairo and other major cities in Egypt. Police attempts to disperse the crowds of demonstrators resulted in clashes.
