The state of emergency introduced in the Volgograd region on New Year's Eve after the first terrorist attack took place at a railway station in Volgograd has been lifted, a representative of the central board of the regional Emergencies Ministry said today.Currently an anti-terrorist operation involving more than five thousand policemen and cadets of the Volgograd Academy of the Ministry of the Interior and Interior Ministry troops is being conducted. They are patrolling the city 24 hours a day.The first explosion in Volgograd occurred on December 29 at 12:45 at a railway station. The second occurred on the morning of December 30 on a trolleybus.
