Iran loses 150,000 scientists every year

Iranian Minister for Science Reza Farajidana said that the country was losing $150 billion and 150,000 scientists every year due to the brain drain problem.

The IMF said in a 2009 report that Iran had the highest rate of scientists leaving the country. About 150,000-180,000 scientists migrate from Iran. Tehran has been taking certain measures to prevent the process in recent years.
