Police in Istanbul have used rubber bullets and tear gas against demonstrators who gathered on the anniversary of murder of three activists of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party. Hundreds of Kurds organized protests in Paris, Gazeta.ru reports.
The three activists were shot at the Kurdish information center in Paris on January 9, 2013. One of them was Sakine Canzis, one of the founders of the Kurdish party. The murder caused mass anti-Turkish protests in European capitals.
