31-year-old Marat Idrisov, leader of the Khasavyurt Gang responsible for the Pyatigorsk blast of December 27, 2013, has been killed in a special operation in the Khasavyurtovsky District (Dagestan), Interfax reports.
Three officers of a special police unit died and five were wounded. The militants attacking them used automatic weapons and grenades.
Idrisov was put on the federal wanted list in February. He made several attacks on police officers, religious and public figures of the district personally.
The bomb planted in a car near a police station in Pyatigorsk killed three people and injured three more.
