Debtor jailed for 11 years for murdering creditor in Stavropol Territory

Valentin Enns, a 24-year-old member of the Stavropol OMON police unit, has been sentenced to 11 years imprisonment for murdering a police officer and stealing a phone, Interfax reports.

According to investigators, the police officer arrived in Baklanovskaya (Izobilnensky District, Stavropol Territory) on September 6, 2013, to ask Enns about returning the debt. The two moved to the outskirts of the village, where Enns shot the officer twice. The body was then covered with trash and left in the area.

Besides serving 11 years in prison, Enns will also pay compensation of 600,000 rubles.
