Three residents of Kabardino -Balkaria were arrested today in Nalchik, suspects in the theft and resale of vehicles. The attackers preferred "Lada Priora " and " Lada Grant," working on orders from neighboring Russian regions.
" The detained residents of the Baksan and Cheghemsky districts aged from 20 to 37 years are suspected of hijacking at least 15 cars and reselling them to neighboring regions over the course of one year in Nalchik and Stavropol Territory," RIA Novosti quotes a statement by Nalchik police chief ATC Marat Gegraev.
Typically, cars were stolen from parking lots at supermarkets or in the courtyards of houses, with the disabling of the alarm. Now proceedings are being brought against the suspects, and also efforts are being made to return the stolen cars to their owners.
