The unemployment figures in Dagestan have dropped by 3,500 (11.4%). According to data of January 1, 2014, 27,300 people need jobs in the republic, Argumenty i Fakty reports.
The quality of the local labor force is being improved via professional training, assistance in employment, informing the population about the labor market and social benefits for the unemployed.
Unemployed people train at 20 education centers for 50 professions. Population Employment Centers have helped 2,800 people with limited capabilities find jobs in 2013. 43,500 out of 100,000 people aged 14-29 asking for jobs at the Centers received them.
