There are 10.4 million foreigners in Russia at the moment, about 1.5 million of them work here legally, 3.7 million are part of the risk group staying for over 90 days, according to Constantine Romodanovsky, Director of the Federal Migration Service, ITAR-TASS reports.
4.3 million arrived in Russia for studies, treatment, tourism purposes and other non-employment reasons.
In over a year, 545,000 foreigners have not been given permission to enter the country. 3,000-4,000 foreigners get rejections every day.
