Bike Ride in Azerbaijan

An ‘Azerbaijan – Europe’ Bike Ride will take place in Azerbaijan in the framework of ‘Ecology Year’, 1news.az reports. This ride, organized by the Interior, Youth and Sport Ministries of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with NATO and European trade and industry representatives in Azerbaijan, will last from August the 28th to September the 6th.
‘Ecology Year’ was declared by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The bicycle is one of the most ecologically safe means of transport, so this ride is being organized to draw the attention of the public to ecological problems and ways to solve them.
The ride will kick off a ‘Bicycle Week’ in Azerbaijan. AzMeCo, Azercell, Nissan, Coca-Cola and Buta will sponsor the activities.
