Col. Igor Gorbul, spokesman of the Southern Military District, said that construction of housing for the 7th Russian military base in Gudaut (Abkhazia) was coming to an end, ITAR-TASS reports.
19 two-storey houses with a total of 300 apartments will be built by late June 2014. They can withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of 9 points. All apartments will have furniture, household utilities, satellite television, telephones, Internet. The housing complex will have playgrounds and sports grounds for children.
Gorbul added that construction of a center for physical education and health will be built by summer 2015. It will have a football field and tennis courts.
