Ilya the Second to turn over the Church land to the people

Georgian Patriarch Ilya the Second announced that the Church is ready to turn over its land to the people so that new villages can be built, Interfax reports.

"The Church of Georgia has several thousand hectares of spare land. We are ready to turn over this land to the people in order to give them a chance to build up-to-date settlements there. I have already discussed my initiative with the President and the members of the Cabinet," said the Patriarch today in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi.
