No clashes between the police and opposition have taken place on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square on the night of Thursday-Friday. Protesters ran out of materials for burning and the police did not storm their positions.
Entrances to the Kreshchatik and Maidan Nezalezhnosti Metro Stations remain closed, although the stations themselves operate.
Kiev Mayor Vladimir Makeyenko withdrew from the Party of Regions yesterday and took responsibility for life in the city.
