Anti-corruption protests have started in large Turkish cities. The police organized a crackdown in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, ITAR-TASS reports.About 500 protesters gathered t the Kadikoy District of Istanbul on Tuesday night. They tried to march towards the district office of the ruling party. About 20 buses with police arrived. Water cannons and tear gas stopped the crowd.Protesters gathered at the Kugulu Park of Ankara and tried to move to the Kennedy Avenue. The police blocked their path. The activists spread out and started throwing rocks at the police.Protesters in Izmir were pushed out of the central districts with water cannons and gas.Protesters happened in Bursa, Eskisehir and Trabzon.
