Pro-Russian Cossack organizations of Simferopol raised the Russian flag on the Supreme Council, Interfax reports.
The flag was placed on the front of the building because flags of Ukraine and the Crimea are hanging on the building’s flagpole. The protesting Cossacks demand the “illegal decisions” of the new Ukrainian authorities to be cancelled.
The central entrance of the Crimean parliament remains blocked by the protesters. Staff of the parliament has to use side entrances.
