Lviv has announced a tender for the best Heavenly Hundred Memorial to heroes of the Maidan protests. The memorial construction was initiated by Vasily Moldovan, supervisor of the Euromaidan protests in Lviv. A group of independent judges and residents of the city will select the best design.
According to the tender's organizers, the monument should remember the people killed in the Kiev protests.
The protests started in Kiev in late November 2013, when the Cabinet announced a halt to European integration. Mass protests spread throughout the country. They renewed in Kiev on February 18, resulting in the deaths of around 80 people, with injuries to a further 800.
