The Azerbaijani national and cultural autonomy in Tatarstan organized an evening at the Mir Cinema Theater of Kazan yesterday, dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre, Vesti.az reports.
Azerbaijanis, Tatars, Russians, representatives of the Turkish Consulate General took part in the evening. Over 1000 booklets about Khojaly, 400 disks with the Khoja film were handed out. 20,000 Azerbaijanis in Tatarstan asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to give official recognition to the Khojaly Massacre of Azerbaijani people, according to Subkhan Akhadzadeh, Head of the autonomy.
