The Astrakhan Region is preparing to become a refuge for up to 15,000 refugees from Ukraine, said Victoria Mysova, spokeswoman of the regional government, ITAR-TASS reports.
Governor Alexander Zhilkin ordered preparations for their arrival. Several hotlines will be launched today. The region will offer refugees jobs. Local legislators approved the idea. Local businessmen offer help.
