Gabala region of Azerbaijan hit by magnitude 3 earthquake

An earthquake occurred today in the Gabala region of Azerbaijan.

Tremors were reported on Monday at 16:38 local time, nine kilometers northeast of Gabala, said Republican Seismological Service Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

The earthquake had a magnitude of about three on the Richter scale, it occurred at a depth of seven kilometers.
