The Caspian mullet has been banned in Iran due to a virus found in the remains of the fish, said Mejid Bakhtiyari, Chief Veterinary of the Mazandaran Province, Trend reports.
He noted that there were more and more dead mullets found. The doctor said that a report on the analysis of the fish will be published within 45 days. The disease was allegedly caused by industrial and household waste and polluted rivers.
