Makhachkala is hosting an international theological conference entitled “Russian Muslims: rights and obligations” today, SKFO.ru reports.
The talks are attended by a delegation of the International Union of Muslim Scholars consisting of sheikhs and theologians, including Dr. Khalid Mazkour abdulla Al-Mazkour (Kuwait), Chairman of the supreme consultative committee on the implementation of the provisions of Muslim sharia.
One of the topics the delegation plans to discuss is the inter-religious dialogue in Dagestan. Islamic theologians will preach in mosques, including the so-called Salafi mosques. The delegation will exchange ideological experience and information to prevent extremism with Dagestani theologians.
