Medvedev honours head of Russian State University for Humanities

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has awarded the head of the Russian
State University of the Humanities, Yefim Pivovarov, the Order of
Friendship. A correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
Doctor of Historic Sciences, Professor Pivovarov was also
congratulated by the university, followed by congratulations from the
Society of Friendship of Russia and Azerbaijan, which Pivovarov
chairs, then the head of the Federation Council Sergey Mironov, then
the executive office of the Public Chamber of Russia.


The Order of Friendship is awarded to citizens for great contributions
to strengthening friendship and cooperation between nations and
peoples, achievements in developing the economic and science potential
of Russia, for fruitful work in rapprochement and mutual enrichment of
national cultures, and for the strengthening of peace and friendly
ties between states.
