Criminal case initiated against Dagestani deputy minister for agriculture

A criminal case has been initiated against Dagestani Deputy Minister for Agriculture Sergey Chepurny for abuse of power as the Head of the Tarumovsky District, the website of Dagestani prosecutors reports.

The functionary gave the Kavkaz limited liability company agricultural vehicles for free. The company was co-founded by his wife. Moreover, Chepurny, according to investigators, used his administrative power to make education center buy milk products of the company.

Chepurny was also accused of beating a 76-year-old shepherd in 2012. A criminal case was initiated against him for purposeful bankruptcy of a local company. In October 2013, Chepurny gave up his post as the Head of the Tarumovsky District and became the Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Food of Dagestan.
