The Magas Regional Court found the former head of the Narzan Region of Ingushetia, Aslan Dobriyev, guilty of a fraud about payments to Chernobyl veterans. He was sentenced to 4 years in jail.
Aslan Dobriyev was arrested on February 14th. It was detected that he used his official position to get illegally social benefits required by the law on social defense of citizens who suffered from radiation during the disaster at the Chernobyl NPP. The general sum of illegally received benefits is more than 8 million rubles, YUGA reports.
