A hand-made explosive device was set off today in the Dagestani city of Kisilyurt with no one injured, RIA Novosti reports, citing a local Interior Ministry representative.
According to the source, the device was planted in a building storing alcoholic and non-alcoholic products on the ground floor and a banqueting hall on the first. It was discovered on Friday afternoon in a bucket with wires attached. The area was secured and specialists called in, but the device exploded before their arrival, with a force equivalent to 6 kg of TNT, according to the Dagestani Interior Ministry spokesperson. A kindergarten is located 20 metres from the
position of the device, which blew the glass from the windows of the building in which it was placed. The children were evacuated.
