Ministry of Emergency Situations Day is being celebrated today in Armenia, Armenia News reports.
A fast response rescue team was created in Armenia on the 4th of September in 1997. The Ministry was founded in 2008.
A new building housing the Ministry was inaugurated today by the President and the Prime Minister of the country. A parade of fire-fighting and rescue forces was also held. Guests from Switzerland, Brazil, Italy, USA, Russia, Ukraine and Japan as well as representatives of the OSCE, the UN and NATO attended the ceremony.
