About 50-60 residents of Novy (Prigorodny District, North Ossetia) have blocked the Kavkaz Federal Highway, setting tyres and trees on fire. They demand the release of two locals suspected of banditism, Interfax reports.
A special operation was carried out in the nearby Maysky Village on Thursday.
North Ossetian Interior Minister Artur Akhmetkhanov talked with the protesters, asked them to unblock the road and tell him about the problem the next day. The road is open at the moment.
