Karachay-Cherkessian businessman suspected of stealing 33 million rubles

Karachay-Cherkessian businessman Khalis Gajayev is suspected of stealing 33 million rubles using the program for development of the agricultural complex, according to Sofya Kuznetsova, spokeswoman of the Karachay-Cherkessian prosecution office, ITAR-TASS reports.

The businessman allegedly gave false information on melioration to the local Agriculture Ministry. Auditors found out that he had had no land of his own or rented to do melioration. He may get up to 10 years of jail for the fraud.
