Kiev threatens rebels with "concrete actions"

The new Ukrainian authorities have promised to proceed with "concrete actions" in the coming days if protesters in the east of the country do not begin to implement the Geneva agreement and do not begin to vacate the buildings they have occupied, the Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Deshchytsa, said.

Deshchytsa intends to hold a meeting today with representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission.

He said that representatives of the OSCE are already in the eastern regions, and Ukraine will offer to increase the number of observers.

In early April, Ertogul Apakan, former representative of Turkey to the United Nations, was appointed the head of the special mission of observers in Ukraine.
