Six of the ten regions of the Russian Federation with the most serious
problems with unemployment are located in the North Caucasus, RIA Novosti reports. The highest unemployment indicators are registered in Chechnya (51.9 %) and Ingushetia (23.7%).
Tuva is in third place on this list and North Ossetia holds 4th position (4.3%). Karachay-Cherkessiais is 6th (3.7%), Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria (both 3.5%) occupy 9th and 10th positions respectively.
The average level of unemployment in the Russian Federation in 2010 is 2.4%.
