25 Russian cities will host military parades to mark the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945): Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Smolensk, Murmansk, Tula, Novorossiysk, Volgograd, Sevastopol, Kerch, Kaliningrad, Severomorsk, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Vladikavkaz, Stavropol, Astrakhan, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Chita, Belogorsk, Ulan-Ude, Nizhny Novgorod, Interfax reports.
Over 1,000 armored vehicles and about 40,000 soldiers will take part in the parades. 151 vehicles, 69 aircraft and about 11,000 soldiers will take part in the Moscow parade.
Special meetings and marches will be organized with 1,200 vehicles and over 42,000 soldiers in over 50 Russian cities. All cities hosting parades will have fireworks on May 9.
