An Mi-8 helicopter exploded at Kramatorsk Airfield (Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine) at about 11.00AM. Witnesses say a helicopter and ammunition were on fire, Interfax reports. Dmitry Tymchuk, head of the Center for Military and Political Studies, coordinator of the Information Resistance Group, said in Kiev that an Mi-8 helicopter exploded while warming up for the flight. He clarified that the pilot managed to leave the aircraft before the accident. The Ukrainian military took control of Kramatorsk Airfield last week.
