The Iranian Statistical Center said that the population of the country had increased from 75.15 million people in 2011 to 77.4 million this year, Trend reports.
The Center predicts that the population will total 77.85 million by the end of the year and 80 million in 2016.
51% of the population are men, 49 are women. 70% of the population are aged 15-64.
