A new Greek ferry will open between ports Kavkaz and Krym on May 9-10, according to Transportation Minister Yuri Shevchenko of the republic, ITAR-TASS reports.
The ferry will carry 160 cars and about 600 passengers.
Two twin-hull boats are sailing between Port Kavkaz and the Anapa Port over the Kerch Strait. The Greek ship was leased by the Unified Transportation Directorate and will operate until October.
At least 8,000 tourists a day will be transported. Shevchenko clarified that about 50 bus routes will open using the ferry and up to 70 will be open in a month.
