Young people in the Krasnodar Territory will mark through streets of local cities and villages today with pictures of their relatives who fought in the Great Patriotic War, RIA Novosti reports.
It will be the second such march in the region. Over 8,000 people took part in the previous year's march.
About a million people from the Krasnodar Territory fought in the Great Patriotic War. At least half of them died in battle. The region was liberated from the Nazis in 1943. Krasnodar was liberated on February 12, 1943. The Krasnodar Territory was cleared of remaining Nazis on October 9, 1943.
Novorossiyk gained status of a Hero City. Anapa and Tuapse became Cities of Military Glory.
