Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has cancelled his visit to Albania and Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz cancelled a visit to Azerbaijan due to an explosion in a mine in Manisa Province.
The PM and the defense minister will go to the scene of the tragedy personally.
Over 200 people died and 300 remain buried in the mine. Most of them were killed by carbon monoxide. Rescuers are pumping oxygen into the mine. 363 miners have been evacuated so far.
