South Ossetia adopts new law on NGOs

The parliament of South Ossetia adopted a law today on non-profit organizations. NGOs financed from abroad will be recognized as "foreign partners." The term "foreign agent" introduced recently by Russia was rejected by Abkhazian MPs.

 

The head of an NGO, Association of social, economic and cultural development, Dina Alborova said that the law is "discriminatory" and that NGOs have many questions to law makers.
