Textbooks for Georgian schoolchildren will remain free, the country's Minister of Education and Science Tamara Sanikidze says. Thus the minister denied a recent statement by opposition lawmaker Sergo Ratiani, who said that schoolchildren will have to pay for textbooks from the next school year.
"Textbooks will remain free. Any statements saying the opposite are baseless," the minister said.
