At the North Caucasus District Military Court prosecutors have presented the Steels 2M MANPAD Makhachkala ex-Mayor Sayid Amirov had allegedly been planning to use to shoot down a plane with Saygit Murtazalieyv inside, Interfax reports.
Amirov’s lawyers said that the client did not own the weapon and its markings were hardly visible.
Amirov and his nephew Yusup Japarov are accused of planning the murder of Murtazaliyev, head of the Russian Pension Fund in Dagestan.
