Ben-Gurion Airport on strike in Israel

The Ben-Gurion International Airport of Israel is on strike. The authorities of the airport and members of trade unions failed to come to an agreement yesterday. The airport’s staff demand better labour conditions.

The strikers have shut down the new automatic baggage inspection system and check baggage manually, causing queues of passengers. Planes take off with a delay of 15-30 minutes. The Israel Airports Authority recommended passengers to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the flight.
