Russian Premier Vladimir Putin has congratulated Russian Muslims on
one of their main holidays - Eid al-Fitr, RIA Novosti reports, citing
the press-service of the government.
The premier said that the religious life of the Muslim community in
Russia is interconnected with their social position. Representatives
of the Muslim administrations participate in discussions for the
development of civil society, and they are active in charity, he said.
The rich moral and ethical potential of Islam is important, he
added. Putin wished well-being, health and success to all.
