U.S. President Barack Obama sent Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili a congratulation note for the Independence Day of Georgia marked on May 26, Georgia Online reports.
In the note, Obama pointed out hopes for cooperation to consolidate democratic institutions, enforce the law and encourage political pluralism. He said that the upcoming local elections and signing of the EU association agreement would give new opportunities for progress.
