Hijabs banned in France

The Law Commission of the French Senate has approved without changes the bill banning the wearing of clothes which cover a person's face in public places, ANS reports.
The bill might be accepted at executive level in September, after which the politicians probably will pass it on to the the Constitutional Council which will check the bill for compliance with the constitution.
